David acts on a wide range of property and commercial matters. His clients include private individuals and substantial corporations. He is heavily involved in supermarket site aggregation, development and leasing and has acted on the purchase of numerous CBD high rise buildings. He has particular expertise in the area of commercial leasing acting for a wide range of clients with properties throughout the country.
David is a past President of the Rotary Club of Hutt Valley and is Vice President of the Wellington Racing Club.

He is President of the Tahurangi Ski Club, has represented New Zealand in debating and is a Friend of the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation. James has conducted seminars for the Wellington District Law Society and the New Zealand Law Society on subjects as diverse as Agreements for Sale and Purchase of Business and assets administration. He was a member of the Victoria University Law School Appeal Fund Committee which raised over $5 million to assist in the establishment of the law school in the old Government Buildings.

Samuel Walker

Samuel graduated from Otago University in 2006 with a double degree in law and arts majoring in Political Science. He worked for Macalister Todd Pillips in Queenstown for 2 years before travelling overseas playing rugby in Ireland and Denmark. Samuel is part of our residential conveyancing division HomeLegal. He also works with David Butler and Char-Lien Lim on private client and commercial law.

Deborah Hislop

Deborah is the firm's Practice Manager. She is responsible for developing and maintaining office systems, in particular the computer technology associated with word processing systems. In addition she is involved in the recruitment and training of staff. She is a registered Legal Executive with particular expertise in the areas of lease administration and gifting programmes.
Deborah is a Hutt City Councillor representing the Central Ward and is Chair of the Community Grants Committee.
