Ordinary powers of attorney cease to apply where the donor becomes mentally incapable. Enduring Powers of Attorney enable attornies to act where otherwise they couldn't. See our Feature Article below for a fuller commentary.
If you would like to complete an Enduring power of Attorney contact James Young or Lesley Grant.
PPPR Applications
Where there is no enduring power of attorney orders may be obtained from the Family Court pursuant to the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 to enable the mentally incapable persons affairs to be dealt with. If you require assistance contact Lesley Grant or Rod Gillespie.
